Trucks seized

BARA: The Maoist-affiliated Young Communist League (YCL) cadres seized two trucks from Amlekhgunj in Bara district on Saturday. They later handed over the trucks carrying textiles and spice to the Pathlaiya-based central regional revenue investigation office. The trucks were seized on the charge of importing the goods by avoiding the taxes, a YCL source said. — HNS

Three held with arms

MAHOTTARI: Police arrested three persons along with arms on Friday from Ramgopalpur of Mahottari. Deepesh Saha of Sarlahi and Ramji Mahato and Arjun Saha Kanu of Mahottari were held, police said, adding one Chinese pistol, eight bullets and one homemade pistol were seized from them. Meanwhile, JTMM-J Mahottari-Sarlahi military commander Gabbar Singh said those arrested were his party cadres. — RSS

JANAKPUR: An employee of Janakpur Cigarette Factory Dhananjaya Sunuwar was injured after a teenager, who came in a motorbike, opened fire on him on Saturday evening, the Dhanusha district police office said. Sunuwar, who got bullet injury in the thigh, is undergoing treatment at a hospital. Woman found dead

INARUWA: A body of an unidentified woman has been found on the bank of the Budhi river near the border of Sunsari and Morang districts on Saturday morning. Police suspected that the stinking body might have been deserted for three days. — RSS

Student hurt in blast

RAJBIRAJ: A student was injured when a bomb exploded at Rajbiraj Municipality- 9. The injured has been identified as Satish Bhujel, 10, son of Mahesh Bhujel.
