KATHMANDU: The Rajendra Mahato-led Nepal Sadbhawana Party (Anandi Devi) has asked Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala and leaders of the Seven-Party Alliance (SPA) not to appoint anyone from both the Mahato-led NSP (A) and the Anandidevi-led NSP (A) in the cabinet unless the dispute between the two factions is resolved. In a letter sent to the PM and other senior leaders on Monday, the Mahato-led NSP (A) said it would be a direct inteference if the government appointed member of any NSP (A) party in the cabinet. — HNS

BAGLUNG: Indian embassy and the Mustang district administration have agreed to construct a rest house on the premises of Muktinath temple in Mustang. India is going to provide Rs 30 million for the purpose. A memorandum of understanding to this effect will be signed between the Indian Embassy, the DDC and the DAO on October 17, Mustang CDO Pradipraj Kandel said. BARA: An unidentified gang shot dead a Young Communist League cadre Jayakaran Yadav, 28, of Bara Devapur. His body was found on the banks of Jamuni river near Dharmanagar of Pathrauta Benauli VDC on Monday morning. He was shot five times, a police team from Simraungarh, which reached the incident site, said. — HNS
Curfew lifted
TULSIPUR : The curfew imposed in Dang district was lifted on Monday. Although the curfew clamped in Tulsipur and Lamahi of Dang district after Kapilvastu riots has been lifted, the local administration has banned gathering of five or more than five people in any public place in Tulsipur and Lamahi, said the local administration. However, the order against gathering of more than five persons, imposed in Ghorahi area, has been revoked, said the District Administration Office, Dang. — RSS
10 hurt in mishap
SINDHULI: At least 10 persons were injured when a vehicle met with an accident at 9:30 am on Monday while heading for Mulkot from Dumja of Sindhuli district. All the injured are undergoing treatment at Dhulikhel hospital. Four of them are in serious condition. — RSS
Mishap victim dead
MYAGDI: A man, Purnabir Garbuja, 43, who fell off a passenger bus heading towards Galeshwor from Beni, died on Monday. Purnabir from Narupang-8 of the district had fallen off a minibus on Sunday. Garbuja died on Monday morning while undergoing treatment at the Myagdi District Hospital, Myagdi, said the hospital source. — RSS
