BHADRAPUR: The Area Police Office, Kakadvitta, arrested a local on the charge of his involvement in black marketing of the Trishakti brand of cooking gas at Kakadvitta in Jhapa district on Tuesday.

Punya Upreti was arrested while he was selling a cylinder of cooking gas at Rs 6,000 to locals, said police.

Police confiscated 97 cylinders of cooking gas from Upreti's store.

Investigation into the case is underway, said Deputy Superintendent of Police, Shyam Adhikari.
