SALYAN: A person died and another sustained injury in an accident involving a pick-up jeep in Kapurkot Rural Municipality-3 of Salyan district on Monday night.

Police have identified the victim as 35-year-old Gorakh Dangi of Bagchaur Municipality-8 in the district and injured as Govinda Chaudhary of Dang, who were both travelling on the vehicle laden with vegetables.

The vehicle (Na 5 Kha 7645) heading towards Salyan from Dang skidded off the road and fell about 100 metres below, killing Dangi on the spot and injuring Chaudhary, at Chorkhola, at around 10:00 pm yesterday.

Meanwhile, the injured has been receiving treatment at Bheri Zonal Hospital, Tulsipur.
