One held for attack on Shahi

One person was held in connection with the assault on Gyanendra Shahi in Chitwan more than a month ago.
Chitwan District Police Office arrested 32-year-old Abiral Pokhrel from his home in Bharatpur metropolis-11, acting on a first information report filed by the victim against five persons involved in the attack on October 18.
According to Chitwan DPO Deputy Superintendent of Police Shaligram Sharma, investigation into Pokhrel’s role in the attack on Shahi has started. Further, he said search for the other four persons who figured in the charge-sheet was on.
Shahi, along with a few of his friends, had been injured in the attack carried out by a mob while he was leaving Hotel Globus in Chaubiskothi of Bharatpur Metropolis-10 on September 28.
Shahi had come to Chitwan to address a programme during an anti-corruption campaign organised by the organisation Nepali for Nepal.
