BAJURA, SEPTEMBER 20
A person was critically injured in a bear attack in Sanphebagar Municipality, Achham, today.
Ward Chairman Janak Kadayat said that Prem Kadayat, 58, of the municipality was critically injured in the attack. The wild animal attacked Prem while he was taking his goats home from the nearby jungle. The relatives took him to Bayalpata Hospital for treatment just after Prem was attacked. But the hospital referred him to the Kathmandu-based health facility as treatment was impossible at Bayalpata Hospital. Prem received a deep cut on his head.
Bayalpata Hospital staff Dipak Bista said that the bear had taken out the skin of man's head making the treatment impossible in the hospital.
Prem has no one in the family.
Ward Chair Kadayat said that there was no one to support Prem in his treatment. He added that preparation was under way to take Prem to the Kathmandu-based health facility. He said that Prem had no money for treatment. The relatives of Prem requested all the helping hands to support Prem in his treatment.
Many people get injured in bear attack in Achham and Bajura very year.
