KATHMANDU: A person died and two others sustained injuries when two motorcycles collided with each other in Satrasaya, Anbukhaireni Rural Municipality-1 of Tanahun district on Monday night.

The deceased has been identified as one of the motorcycle (Ba 11 Pa 5569) riders, Raj Kumar Shrestha (55) of Bhanu Municipality-1 in the district.

Critically injured in the incident, Shrestha was rushed to the Dumre-based Laxmi Teaching Hospital where he died during the course of treatment, police said.

Rider of another motorcycle (Ga 9 Pa 4338) Sushil Ale and pillion rider Bikash Shrestha of Gorkha were injured in the incident. They are being treated at the Laxmi Teaching Hospital.

The incident occurred at around 7:45 pm yesterday.
