One month old dies of viral fever in Jajarkot

JAJARKOT: A one-month-old baby succumbed to viral fever in Junichande Rural Municipality-2 in Jajarkot district on Monday morning.

The deceased has been identified as Bhupendra Nepali. He was undergoing treatment at a local health facility, said Krishna Bahadur Khatri, lab technician who was involved in the treatment.

With this, nine persons including five children have died due to viral fever in the district so far.

A joint team of senior doctors led by Dr Pawan Shakya and Nepal Army have reached the affected areas to provide door-to-door health service to patients.

It has been learnt that the team has established a health camp at Bhairav Secondary School in the RM and are providing services to the patients.
