DHANGADI, JULY 13
Discussion on the policies and programmes for the upcoming fiscal year has started in the Provincial Assembly of Sudurpaschim Province following an agreement between the government and protesting opposition parties.
Earlier, opposition parties - CPN-UML, Janata Samajbadi Party-Nepal and Lokatantrik Samajbadi Party -had boycotted discussion on the budget putting forward a 14-point demand. Their demands included removing plans that were out of the purvey of Good Governance Act 2018, and compulsory adherence to tender process for projects worth over one million rupees.
