PALPA: Two people were killed when a passenger bus met with an accident at Siluwa VDC of Palpa on Saturday.

One of the deceased has been identified as Lal Singh Thapa (38) of Materi in Rampur while the other, assumed to be in his early 20s, is yet to be identified, informed the Rampur Area Police Office.

The duo were being rushed to a hospital for treatment when they breathed their last.

As many as 24 people were on board when the bus (Na 4 Kha 9218), travelling to Rampur from Butwal, met with the accident at around 10:45 pm yesterday.

The bus fell some 100 metres down the road, police added.

Apart from the two deceased, 20 other passengers were injured. They are being treated at the Lumbini Medical College.
