'All parties should stand together to implement Constitution'

CHITWAN: UCPN-Maoist Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal said that he would soon meet Nepali Congress newly elected President Sher Bahadur Deuba and made initiations to form a national unity government.

Speaking at a programme organised at Amritnagar in Narayani Municipality-4 in Chitwan on Tuesday, he said that the major political parties should be united for the effective implementation of the Constitution and post-quake reconstructions.

He said that initiations would be made through the meeting of the High Level Political Coordination Committee (HLPCC) to form the national consensus government comprising the NC, CPN-UML and UCPN-Maoist.

Dahal is coordinator of the HLPCC.

“It is need of the hour for all the political parties to stand together for national unity and prosperity and implementation of the Constitution and post-quake reconstructions,” the former Prime Minister said.

Chairman Dahal also said that necessary initiatives would be taken to blacktop Mangalpur-Megauli track, provide relief to the locals affected by wildlife menace from Chitwan National Park and stop erosion in the area.
