Patients treated under open sky in Jajarkot sub-health post

JAJARKOT: A sub-health post in remote area of Jajarkot district has faced severe shortage of space in order to treat of the patients.

The sub-health post based in Majkot VDC is going through a hard time due to the dilapidated condition of its building, chief of the sub-health post Sunil Bajracharya said.

Bajracharya added that health workers are forced to provide treatment to the patients under the open sky due to lack of the building. He added that the patients are taken to the nearby houses for the treatment in the rainy days.

In 2069 BS, the Fence Construction Company had promised to complete the ongoing construction of the building in two years with Rs 50 million but the contractors are on the run, social mobiliser of Local Governance and Community Development Programme Kashiram Neupane said.

Likewise, Chief of the District Public Health Office, Dhir Jung Shah, said that their repeated efforts to be in contact with the contractors turned futile.
