Saptari, March 20:

The people of Saptari district have taken to the streets to protest against the Janatantrik Terai Mukti Morcha (Jwala Singh) group blaming the party of spreading terror and other criminal activities in the region.

The people of many VDCs including Lalapatti, Chhinnamasta of Saptari district chanted slogans against the JTTM (Jwala Singh) group and closed the Chhinnamasta bazaar today.

They also staged a demonstration at Rajbira and organised mass meeting and rallies. Addressing the mass meeting, former VDC Chairman Nirmal Yadav said that the JTTM (Jwala Singh) group has been harassing people in the name of Madhesi liberation.

He also threatened of stronger protests if the group did not give up politics of violence. Maoist Communist League central leader, Umesh Yadav, warned that they would launch strong protests if the JTMM group did not stop excesses upon the Madhesi community.
