Permission granted to Altitude Air for transfer of COVID-19 patients

KATHMANDU: Flight Safety Standards Department of the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) has cleared Altitude Air to air transfer COVID-19 patients from all over Nepal.

Decision in this regard was made today.

"As per CAAN's decision dated 18th January 2021, permission has been granted to carry COVID-19 patients by Altitude Air's helicopter as per recommendations issued by the inspection committee and requirements of Ministry of Health and Population in this regard," stated the aviation authority.

According to Nima Nuru Sherpa, Managing Director at Altitude Air Pvt Ltd, the decision has been made in adherence to health and safety protocols and guidelines provided by the Ministry of Health and Population and World Health Organization.
