KATHMANDU, MAY 19
A team of climbers from the Altitude Junkies today scaled the world's highest peak, according to Expedition Himalaya, the expedition organizer.
Navin Trital, Managing Director at Expedition Himalaya, said that owner of Altitude Junkies Philip James Crampton stood atop Mt Everest for 10th time. The British born American climber successfully reached the summit point leading a team of 10 climbers from the Expedition Himalaya, he said.
"Pasang Nuru Sherpa, General Manager of Expedition Himalaya also stood atop the roof of the world," Trital said, adding that all climbers are now on their way back to lower camps.
Phil has led over 50 expeditions to 8000-meter peaks including 18 Everest expeditions, Tibet (8 times) and Nepal (10 times).
