KATHMANDU, DECEMBER 25

Prime Minister and Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba has reaffirmed his commitment to abide by the inclusiveness and democratic principles and take everyone on board.

At a programme organised at the NC's central office today to distribute certificates to office-bearers and members elected in the NC's recently held 14th General Convention, PM Deuba extended his gratitude to all the voters for trusting him and casting vote in his favour in the general convention.

Calling for cooperation from one and all to run the party, Deuba said that he would lead the party representing those who did not cast vote for him. On the occasion, he claimed that the way NC held its general convention democratically from ward to central level was a rare occurrence in the activities of other political parties and the NC was thus a democratic party in the true sense.

The prime minister also informed that NC had conducted general convention at all levels and women's participation was ensured from the grassroot level. He viewed that the principle of inclusiveness that the NC embodied would rarely be manifested by other political parties.

He also urged one and all to pay attention to increasing the number of women voters in the party's next general convention. Deuba also extended gratitude to the Central Election Committee for successfully holding national convention from ward to centre level despite the odds.

A total of 134 office-bearers and members elected from the 14th General Convention were provided with certificate by the NC's Central Election Committee coordinator Gopal Krishna Ghimire.

The party's central working committee's meeting was called following the distribution of certificates.
