SIRAHA, JANUARY 31

Minister of Law and Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Oli faction central member Lilanath Shrestha today said that Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli was compelled to dissolve the House of Representatives after he was cornered inside the party.

Speaking at a press meet organised at his residence in Siraha, Minister Shrestha reiterated that the PM was forced to dissolve the Parliament as he was cornered inside the party. "The dissolution of the Parliament is not unconstitutional.

Oli's step is constitutional and democratic. The rival faction is trying to vilify the prime minister by spreading the rumour that his move is regressive," Shrestha added.

Minister Shrestha urged all and sundry to start preparation for the polls.

At the programme, Oli faction's Province 2 Secretary and National Assembly member Sumanraj Pyakurel said that the ruling NCP had already been divided into two factions.
