'PM will sign no agreement with India against national interest'

CHITWAN: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Poverty Alleviation and Cooperatives Chitra Bahadur KC said that Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli would sign no agreement against national interest during his India visit.

He made the statement during a press conference organised at Gaindakot of Nawalparasi on Sunday morning.

"All party meeting will be held before the Prime Minister leaves for India," he said. "PM Oli will sign no deal with India against national interest."

On a different note, KC stated that the blockade at border entry points were removed after recent amendments to the constitution fulfilled India's interest.

He went on to say that the devastating earthquakes of April and May and unofficial blockade imposed by India have further increased the number of poor people in the country.

Prime Minister Oli will embark on a five-day official visit to southern neighbour on February 19.
