Police arrested two persons who were found to be taking exams under false names from different places in Hetauda today.

While one was attending the Pubic Service Commission exam, the other was participating in a driving licence test as a proxy for his father.

Police arrested Dipendra Prasad Bastakoti, 42, of Pokhara from Hetauda. He was found to be attending the Public Service Commission exam under someone else's name in a school. Reportedly, he was attending the exam posing as Abhaya Kumar Yadav of then Pokhabhinda VDC of Mohottari.

Police seized 58,500 rupees in cash and Yadav's citizenship certificate, along with such certificates of three other persons from Dhanusha and Mahottari.

Besides, police also seized Bastakoti's driving licence.

Similarly, police arrested Santosh Gautam of Bakaiya, Makawanpur, after he was found to be writing for someone else in a vehicle licence test conducted by Hetauda Transportation Management Office. He was attending the test for his father Tukanath Gautam, said police. According to police, investigation into the arrested duo is under way.
