Power supply resumes after 20 hrs in 3 western districts

DAMAULI: The obstructed power supply in Tanahun, Lamjung and Gorkha districts resumed after technicians from the Nepal Electricity Authority repaired the damaged equipment at Damauli Substation.

A lightning strike on Sunday evening had affected the power supply, causing darkness in most areas of three districts.

Pokhara-based NEA engineer Kailash Pantha said the power supply resumed from 2 pm today after the damaged busbar was repaired.

The technicians were successful to reestablish power connections after working for around five hours.
