Prachanda sticks to three-point agenda

Kirtipur, October 25:

Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ said today that taking the peace process to its logical conclusion, writing the new constitution on time and making the country economically prosperous as per the aspirations of the people were the main responsibilities of the government.

Speaking at a tea reception organised in his honour by the Communist Party of Nepal-Maoist Kathmandu Area No 10 regional committee here today, the Prime Minister said the government was serious on fulfilling the three responsibilities and making the people feel the new political change.

Prachanda said the coalition government was moving ahead with a new forward-looking thought for the prosperity and advancement of the country.

“We would work with honesty and earnest for resolving the problems the people of various communities have been facing,” he said.

During the government formation process, Prachanda said, various hurdles came in the way.

“But we succeeded in negotiating with such hurdles. The people’s government was ultimately formed through massive public pressure,” the Prime Minister said. He further said that his party showed the way and have been working in tandem to achieve the goals the government has set aside.

Speaking on the occasion, CPN-Maoist Kathmandu Area No 10 in-charge Karan briefed the Prime Minister about various problems that the people in the constituency have been facing. Karan also urged the PM to take initiatives to end them.
