President seeks unity to achieve martyrs' dreams

HETAUNDA: President Bidya Devi Bhandari said all political parties of the nation must come together to achieve martyrs' dreams.

Speaking at a function organised at the Martyrs Memorial Park in Hetaunda-11 on the occasion of the Martyrs' Day today, the President also called on youth of the nation to work toward realising those dreams.

She was of the opinion that the republicanism in the nation was institutionalised with the promulgation of Constitution in September last year.

The Head of the State also hoped that the historic charter would lead Nepal toward prosperity.

Meanwhile, the President offered garlands on a Martyrs Memorial Pillar and statues of various martyrs as well as her deceased husband Madan Kumar Bhandari at the park.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs Kamal Thapa, on the occasion, urged political parties to resolve their differences at the earliest to work together toward achieving dreams of the martyrs.
