Progress in corruption control: TI

Kathmandu, Sept 23:

Releasing its Corruption Perception Index (CPI) 2008, the Transparency International (TI) today said Nepal has made progress in corruption control.

According to the CPI, Nepal climbed to 121st position this year from 131st position in the last three consecutive years. This year, Nepal secured 2.7 CPI score against 2.5 in the past years.

“Though this figure tells us that Nepal has improved in corruption index, but still there is a lot more to do because the country is among those nations where corruption is rampant,” TI said.
