PHIDIM: Property worth Rs 75 lakh was gutted after a fire broke out at Olane VDC in Panchthar on Wednesday.

The fire spread from a house belonging to Padam Mukhiya, said police. Police said two houses belonging to Krishna Mukhiya and Jograni Rai turned into ashes.

Two shops and hotels were being operated from the houses.

A police team deployed from Area Police Office Ravi and Dasami Police Post, together with locals had brought the fire under control.

Police said that Krishna Mukiya was injured while dousing the fire.
