INARUWA: Property worth around Rs 1 million were destroyed in a fire at Inaruwa Municipality-3 in Sunsari district on Tuesday night.

The fire that started with an electric short-circuit last night destroyed the house belonging to Surendra Dulal in Sakhuwagachhi.

According to villagers, the Dulal family were out to celebrate Chhath festival at the time of the incident.

The fire was brought under control with the help of personnel from police and APF, locals, and fire engines from Dharan and Itahari Sub-Metropolitan Cities.
