KATHMANDU:  Cash and gold ornaments worth around Rs 425,000 were stolen from a rented room at Banasthali in KMC-16 on Wednesday.

According to a complaint lodged with police, a group of unidentified persons barged into the room of Subash Marahatha (40) after breaking the bolt of the door and decamped with Rs 200,000 in cash and various gold ornaments worth around as 225,000.

Police said that the room was unattended with the incident occurred at around 4:30 pm.
