‘Province 3 will benefit from sisterly relations with Gansu’
Hetauda, July 4
Province 3 Chief Minister Dormani Poudel said he hoped the sisterly relations between Province 3 and Gansu Province of China would be a great fillip for the development of Province 3.
Poudel, while addressing the 25th China Lanzhou Investment and Trade Fair and High End Forum on Silk Road Cooperation programme today, said Nepal was impressed by the unprecedented development of the Chinese province.
Further, also citing his earlier visit with President Bidhya Devi Bhandari, Poudel expressed confidence that the relations between China and Nepal would grow in the days to come.
“Nepal and China have always respected each other’s sovereignty. China has always been special to us and now following the bond of sisterly relationship between the two provinces, I hope we in Nepal, especially in Province 3, will immensely benefit from it,” he said.
The visiting chief minister also urged Chinese entrepreneurs to invest in Nepal and in Province 3.
“We need investment in hydropower, health, tourism, agriculture and energy, and I hereby urge Chinese investors to invest in Nepal,” he said.
Sisterly relations between the two provinces had been established following the signing of a memorandum to this effect by CM Poudel and the governor of the Chinese province. The CM’s team will return to Nepal on Monday.
