Province 7 to unveil budget today

Province 7 government has completed all preparations for bringing its partial budget on Sunday.
Minister for Financial Affairs and Planning Jhapad Bohora will be presenting the partial budget in the Parliament tomorrow.
At a press meet organised in Dhangadi today, Minister Bohora said the budget would prepare the foundation for development in the province. Bohora also informed that he would present budget of Rs 1.2 billion. He briefed Chief Minister Trilochan Bhatta on the budget earlier today. CM Bhatta in turn has informed Governor Mohan Raj Malla about the provincial government’s preparation to bring partial budget.
Minister Bohora said the budget held significance as it was the first time the provincial government was bringing the budget. “It is a historical budget and it will have far reaching implications for the province,” he added. Bohora claimed the budget addressed aspirations of the people. “The budget prioritises agriculture, education and health,” he informed. He said the budget has also included programmes aimed at ensuring good governance.
Meanwhile, representatives of local levels today submitted a memorandum to Bohara, demanding that they be given the right to spend and monitor budget implementation.
