Quake-hit school reconstructed
MYAGDI: A primary school in Marang VDC in Myagdi district, which was damaged after the devastating earthquake occurred on April 25, has been reconstructed with support from a social organisation and locals’ labour donation.
Good Neighbour, Nepal, provided Rs 125,000 in cash through Myagdi Community Development Project to reconstruct the Ramche Primary School while locals donated labour worth Rs 90,000, Project Coordinator Tupendra Khulal said.
A total of 40 students are studying in the school.
According to the District Education Office, Myagdi, 72 classrooms of 97 community schools were completely damaged in the devastating quake and the consequent aftershocks. Likewise, 64 classrooms have got partial damage.
