Rainfall elates farmers

Regular rainfall after a prolonged drought has brought new hope and joy among the farmers in Ramechhap of late.

They are elated and hopeful that their crops will be better with regular rainfall in the district. They said they had not experienced rainfall from mid-April to mid-May for the past 11 years.

“Though we had suffered much due to windstorm, this year we are happy with regular rainfall which is a must for the better summer and winter crops and vegetables,” said Dhruba Prasad Subedi, a farmer of Manthali Municipality-1.

“Earlier, we failed to sow maize seeds due to prolonged drought in the month of April and May.
