Ram Raja Multiple Campus in Kalaiya celebrated its 43rd anniversary and held its 17th campus assembly on Monday.
The event was inaugurated by Kalaiya Mayor Binod Sah and attended by notable figures including Provincial Assembly Member Laxmi Devi, and Deputy Mayor Roshan Prabin.
During the event, Mayor Sah pledged municipal support for the campus's development and encouraged the addition of new faculties to retain local students. Campus Chief Nivesh Timalsina announced plans to launch a law faculty and expand existing programs in business and computer studies for the next academic session.
As part of the celebration, 225 students were awarded certificates and trophies for their participation in competitions across eight categories: volleyball, chess, kho-kho, running, kabaddi, badminton, poetry, public speaking, and essay writing.
The campus also conducted a session to discuss annual reports, policies, and budget proposals. The program concluded under the leadership of Campus Management Committee Chair Jung Bahadur Prasad Chaurasia.
The campus was named after Mahadanveer Mohan Vikram Shah in 2038 by his son, Deep Vikram Shah, who donated land and built a 15-room building. Additionally, philanthropist Ram Lal Chanawal donated two kaththa of land to the campus from his savings.
Currently, the campus offers only commerce and education faculties for its 1,332 students. Campus Chief Timalsina revealed plans to introduce a law faculty in the upcoming academic session, along with other programs in business, hotel management, and computer science.
