Rana blames eight parties for Tarai problem

Charikot, August 10:

Rastriya Prajatantra Party president Pashupati Shumsher Rana today alleged that the eight parties, instead of working to hold the constituent assembly election, were busy wrangling for power. Speaking at the fourth district convention of the RPP here, he said the Tarai problem cropped up largely due to the mindset of the eight parties and their belief that that they were everything in this country. He added that his party had fought against dictatorship and that it would fight against the dictatorship of the eight parties, too.

Rana stressed that the demand of the Maoists that the country should go for a republic prior to the CA election showed that they were against the election. He added that the current government was working in a style similar to the Rana rulers and the Shah dynasty. He denounced the government for remaining indifferent even after attacks on various newspapers and FM radio stations.

He said that the allegation of being pro-royal levelled against his party was baseless.

Rana said: “It is shameful that the government could not appoint ambassadors to 12-13 countries.”
