Birgunj, December 4:

Nepal Red Cross Society Parsa district branch has warned of discontinuing all services because of increasing insecurity.

The latest warning came as a reaction to the protests against NRCS activity and gheraoing the offices citing bribery in distribution of relief materials to the flood victims.

The Dalits from Birgunj Sub-metropolis ward no. 19, Inaruwa Tole, protested against the alleged discrimination and corruption in distribution of relief materials.

General secretary at Nepal Red Cross Parsa, Ful Mohammed Miya, meanwhile, issued a statement today and said the protests were launched with a deceitful intention of obstructing relief distribution by spreading wrong information that the relief distributed to flood victims were actually meant for the needy and Dalits.
