POKHARA, JANUARY 27

Pokhara Metropolitan City has closed down all its regular services leaving aside the most essential ones for the general people from today onwards in view of the heightened risk of coronavirus infection that has been spreading at a very alarming rate throughout the country for the past few weeks.

In a notice issued today, the metropolis said its regular services would remain closed till January 30 because some of its employees in almost all of the offices of the metropolis had contracted the virus of late.

Metropolis Spokesperson Dhan Bahadur Nepali said all the regular services offered by the metropolis, excluding sanitation, health and other essential ones had to be shut down to subdue the spread of the virus.
