KATHMANDU, FEBRUARY 23
Members of civil society and human rights activists staged a demonstration outside the Russian Embassy in Baluwatar on Wednesday against the possible invasion of Ukraine by Russia.
The protestors displayed placards urging the giant nation to avoid war at all cost. An organisation called Human Rights and Peace Society Nepal that organised the event wrote a letter to Russian President Vladimir Putin asking him to quit war and opt for peace.
Tensions have grown recently in Ukraine after a possible chance of an invasion by Russia.
