SAPTARI: The local administration, Saptari district, has lifted the declaration of riot-hit area along the East-West Highway in the district from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm on Saturday.

Chief District Officer Birendra Yadav said that the decision was taken as the life of folks from the Koshi Barrage to Balankhola in the district has gradually returned to normalcy.

The announcement of riot-hit area would come into effect only from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm while decision to issue riot-hit area would continue from 6:00 this evening to 6:00 tomorrow morning along the highway.
