Sudhan Gurung of the Rastriya Swatantra Party has won the House of Representatives seat from Gorkha Constituency-1 in Gandaki Province, securing 29,896 votes - nearly double the tally of his closest competitor.
Gurung, 38, won by a margin of 14,498 votes over the Nepali Congress candidate.
According to the Election Commission, Prem Kumar Khatri of the Nepali Congress finished second with 15,398 votes, followed by Hari Raj Adhikari of the Nepali Communist Party with 11,124.
Ram Chandra Lamichhane of the CPN-UML received 3,732 votes, Ramkaji Rana Magar of Ujyalo Nepal Party 489 and Kedar Mani Khanal of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party 310.
