Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) candidate Dr Swarnim Wagle continues to lead in the vote count in Tanahun Constituency-1.
According to Chief Election Officer Bishnu Prasad Upadhyaya, Wagle had secured 2,928 votes as of 11:00 am. Nepali Congress candidate Govinda Bhattarai followed with 1,657 votes, while CPN-UML candidate Bhagwati Neupane received 1,101 votes.
Similarly, Vidyanath Dhakal of the Nepal Communist Party secured 323 votes and Ramdatt Joshi of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party obtained 86 votes.
Out of 6,566 ballots counted from Devghat Rural Municipality, 6,234 votes were valid.
A total of 68,129 votes were cast in the constituency out of 126,882 registered voters. Altogether 16 candidates, including those from various political parties and independents, are contesting the seat.
