Samata School running classes sans permission
Bajura, May 28
Samata School in Bajura’s Badimalika Municipality is operating without permission and the school management committee has even defied the municipality’s order to close the school.
The municipality had directed the school management committee to close the school some three days ago, but the school has not pulled down its shutter yet.
Mayor Padam Badhuwal of the municipality said that the school came into operation from this running academic session without completing legal procedures. “The local level gives permission to operate a school,” he said. Badhuwal said Samata School had not sought permission from the municipality to run classes.
It is necessary to get permission to run a school before February. Education Development and Coordination Unit Office, Bajura, stated that the school was being operated by defying rules.
Around 200 students, who were enrolled at the school, are in confusion after the municipality issued an order to close the school.
A local, Gagan Aide, said that the school was playing with students’ future. “We were unaware of this,” he added. Aide said that the villagers paid Rs 1,000 though the school administration only asked for Rs 150 as admission fee.
School inspector at Education Development and Coordination Unit Office, Bajura, Bibiraj Soti said that the office would write a letter to the school administration to return the amount to the concerned guardians.
