BHOJPUR: A man died after a bus hit a scooter he was riding on at Bhotepul in Dharan-8 of Sunsari on Friday.

The deceased has been identified as Hemanta Gurung (41) of Bhotepul, Dharan, according to the Eastern Regional Police Office, Biratnagar.

The bus (Na 4 Kha 5387) en route to Itahari from Dharan hit Gurung at around 10:30 am, police informed.

Critically injured in the incident, Gurung breathed his last on the way to a hospital.

Police said that they have impounded the bus and arrested its driver for investigation.
