BAJURA, AUGUST 9

An operation is under way to search for Jaya Singh Dhami in the Mahakali River.

Dhami had gone missing in the river after India's SSB cut off the tuin on July 30. He was crossing the river using the tuin.

Personnel of Nepal Police and APF have been searching for the missing Dhami on the Nepali side while India's SSB personnel are searching for Dhami on the Indian site.

A probe committee formed by the government to investigate the incident is working to locate the body at any cost. Security forces are continuing the search from Byas Rural Municipality to Mahakali Municipality. The committee is preparing to search for the missing Dhami with a drone. Committee Coordinator Janardan Gautam said they would search for Dhami with the help of a drone.

According to APF SP Narendra Bam, APF is searching for Dhami with binoculars.

"The probe committee is interrogating and recording statements," he said.
