Second lot of Chinese fuel arrives Rasuwa
DHUNCHE: Three fuel tankers which had departed for Kyirong of China have arrived Timure in Rasuwa district, with second lot of petroleum this evening.
According to Armed Police Border security force, the three tankers left for Kyirong in the morning and returned back to Nepal loaded with 32,000 litres of China-granted petroleum.
Among the four tankers which departed from Kathmandu for Kyirong on Sunday, one tanker halted in Timure after the Chinese security personnel informed that the fuel station at Kyirong had been emptied. The Chinese security personnel asked to hold on the tanker in Nepal until the additional fuel arrive from Shigatse to Kyirong. The tanker would get fuel on the following day.
About 43,000 litres of petroleum have already arrived Nepal until now, informed Nepal border security personnel.
12 tankers containing fuel have already arrived to the NOC Thankot depot, informed Awadesh Bista chief of district police office to Rastriya Samachar Samiti.
