According to a decision taken by the Council of Ministers yesterday, the government has transferred seven Deputy Inspector Generals of Police (DIG) and promoted six officers to the post of DIG. According to the Home ministry, deputy inspector generals Gyanendra Bikram Mahat, Krishna Basnet, Him Bahadur Gurung, Ashok Kumar Shrestha, Bijaya Raj Bhatta, Keshav Prasad Baral and Narayan Sharma Acharya are among those transferred.
