Seven suspension bridges constructed in Chitwan
RATNANAGAR: A total of seven suspension bridges were constructed at different places in Chitwan district.
According to District Technical Office chief Deep Kumar Das, most of the bridges were constructed in hilly areas.
The office has met the goal of completing the construction of such bridges in the fiscal year 2016/17. Fifty-six such bridges were constructed in the district last fiscal year.
According to office sources, two suspension bridges were constructed at Kabilas, two at Korak, two at Lothar and one at Khanikhola.
These bridges were constructed through users' committee. A total cost for all these bridges is about Rs 35 million.
The bridges are between 63 to 117 meters long. With the completion of the construction works, locals are directly benefited
