Koirala threatens to launch agitation
Kawasoti, January 22
Nepali Congress General Secretary Shashank Koirala today threatened to launch protests from the Parliament and the streets if the government passed the National Medical Education Bill forcefully.
Talking to mediapersons at Kawasoti, Koirala said his party wanted the education bill to be passed from the Parliament by incorporating all the contents of the agreement signed between the government and Dr Govind KC. “The government is trying to bypass the agreement signed with Dr KC,” Koirala said.
Koirala also said the tenure of Nepal Student Union’s central committee should be extended by six more months to allow it to hold election. He claimed NC would emerge as the largest party in the next polls if the party was united.
