SIRAHA: Four persons were arrested with brown sugar from Golbazaar Municipality of Siraha district.

Based on a tip-off, a search operation was conducted by a team of police from Golbazaar-based Area Police Office (APO). The team led by APO chief, Inspector Janak Puri, arrested two persons from Golbazaar Municipality-3 with eight packets of brown sugar.

Likewise, on the basis of information provided by the two arrestees, police took in custody two others from Golbazaar Municipality-6 with 73 packets of the illegal drug.

The arrestees have been identified as Balakrishna Sah (18) of Golbazaar-6, Manish Shrestha (18), Bimal Kumar Sah (22) and his brother Nilam Kumar Sah (18) of Golbazaar-3, confirmed Inspector Puri.

In just a period of five months, 23 persons have been arrested by Golbazaar Police for drug peddling while the investigation continues. Those arrested fall between the age group of 18-30.
