Six nabbed for human trafficking

KATHMANDU: The Metropolitan Police Crime Division arrested six persons for their alleged involvement in human trafficking.

The arrested are Bal Kumari Bishwokarma, Bina Tamang, Nabin Dhital, Jeevan Urau, Ashok Tamang and Rup Narayan Rajbanshi.

A team deployed from the Division arrested them from different districts including Morang and Sunsari on Friday and Saturday.

Deputy Superintendent of Police at the Division, Mukunda Marasini, said that the human traffickers were arrested after learning that some Nepali and Indian people were making attempt to traffic some Nepalis to Kuwait.

Marasini added, "We have been carrying out further investigation into the case."
