JANAKPURDHAM: The chief minister and ministers of Province 2 decided to donate their one month salary to flood victims in the province.

A meeting of the  council of ministers held in the chief minister’s office on Tuesday decided to this effect. Chief Minister Lal Bahadur Raut said relief materials should reach victims at the earliest. “The government has  formed a committee to buy relief materials,” he added. CM Raut informed  that Rs 10 lakh each was sent to the district-based disaster coordination committees.

He also said  due to road obstruction in many places it was very difficult to supply relief materials.  Till now 15 persons have lost their lives due to floods in the province.
