Succour for quake victims in Tanahun

DAMAULI: District Administration Office of Tanahun has distributed Rs 78.942 million in cash relief to the earthquake victims in the district.

As per the data, 5,648 families whose houses were completely destroyed in the quake received the relief amount.

According to Chief District Officer Mahadev Pantha, the district administration and the Tanahun chapter of Red Cross provided cash relief to 3,706 and 1,942 families, respectively.

Each of the families received Rs 15,000.

The devastating earthquake of April 25 had taken the lives of 9,000 people leaving countless others homeless.
