Black flag waving cadres of the Upendra Yadav-led Madhesi Janadhikar Forum today staged demonstrations here against minister without portfolio and Nepali Congress candidate for Sunsari district’s Constituency No 5 Sujata Koirala.

The MJF cadres vandalised her vehicle before security personnel in large numbers formed a ring around her vehicle and escorted her to safety.

They accused her of having reached Laukahi, where she went for a poll campaign, to buy votes for herself. The MJF cadres torched three NC flags and also accused Koirala of distributing money, clothes and piglets to bribe the people into voting for her. Meanwhile, NC district secretary Rajiv Koirala dismissed the MJF charges as baseless and flayed the disruption of Sujata’s poll campaign.
